Life More Abundant is the internet outreach ministry of the Men's Group of Lighthouse Assembly of God in Queens, New York. Our mission is to reach, teach, and keep men for the Kingdom of God in Christ Jesus. We discuss a wide range of topics: from apologetics to faith (and doubt) to redemption, salvation, Zion, and everything in between. Of all the animals that come to mind, when you think of “beasts of burden“, surely sheep are not one of them. Beasts of burden are strong, usually larger animals; tame as sheep but not as dumb; meek as sheep but not as fickle. In our minds, we picture mules, horses, donkeys, oxen, buffalo, and camels. And yet, the average Christians live their lives convinced that sheep are also beasts of burden.

It seems that everywhere you look, everywhere you go, people are almost exclusively interested in being fed, encouraged, complimented, and, most importantly, entertained! Unfortunately, this holds true even in the Church. May God have mercy on us.
